Job Description & How to Apply Below

Do you have a supply chain or logistics background and are you ready to give your career a boost? Do you like the idea of working with colleagues of many different nationalities and with an international scope? Is a positive working environment essential for you? If the answer to these questions is ‘yes’, get in touch with us for possibilities as planner within our Supply Chain Planning department in Zwolle.

Your role at Abb Vie
We have two types of Supply Chain Planners: for the short-term planning and for the long-term planning. In both roles, you will be responsible for monitoring inventories and taking action if and where appropriate based on available inventory, lead times, and size of orders. The long-term planners are also responsible for anticipating future opportunities and risks, related to the more complex processes of long-term planning.

In addition, we also have Value Added Service (VAS) Planners who are responsible for coordination of VAS activities between Planning, central and regional distribution centers (DC), Global Distribution and Logistics, Quality Assurance (QA), Packaging Engineering, and Affiliates.

In all these roles, your work area covers all parts of the world.

All roles are based at Abb Vie’s office in Zwolle (hybrid working model, 60% onsite).

VAS Planner

In this role, you will work closely with QA and the DCs to plan and coordinate VAS activities. The objective is to meet market demand on a routine basis as well as in exceptional cases. Therefore, the Added Service Planner needs to ensure set up activities have been completed by DCs and Supply Chain stakeholders, as well as execution is aligned to plan and processes are continuously improved.

By continuously raising the bar, the VASC ensures success for Abb Vie and patients. To achieve this, the VASC builds strong relationships with Distribution Centers, Affiliates, and internal supply chain partners.

Supply Chain Planner

Your goal is to balance supply and demand, ensuring the production and shipping schedules are aligned, optimize inventory, manage lead times and size of orders, transportation efficiency, and continuously improve supply chain processes.

As part of the Abb Vie Logistics organization in Zwolle, we collectively ensure that our medicines are manufactured in the right quantity, delivered to the right place, at the right time, and to the right person. Abb Vie’s motto:
