• 2-year Basic Jewelry Course (Offered in Italian only)
Focus on Jewelry Making or Jewelry Design.
he academy encourages students to develop and explore their own ideas, while it values traditional techniques unique to Italian Jewelry.
Students master from the most traditional to the latest techniques of cutting, forming, joining, casting and finishing.
One of the unique techniques studied at the Academy include a Florentine etching method called "INCISIONE."
Projects may fall into conventional formats such as brooches and earrings, as well as experimental forms, addressing issues of function, design and concept.
Materials range from traditional metallic resources to an incorporation of a wide variety of materials such as antique and modern beads, plastic, feathers, shells, glass and found objects.
Studio experience and practical knowledge in the jewelry business are important factors that complete the curriculum.
• One-year / Semester Jewelry Program - Taught in Italian with English or Spanish interpreters:
As a Jewelry major, you will learn how self-exploration and self-expression translate into three-dimensional form to create unique objects for adornment and use.
You will master a variety of techniques for making jewelry including cutting, forming, joining, casting and finishing. Projects fall into conventional formats such as brooches and earrings, and experimental forms, and address issues of function, design and concept.
You will be challenged with more advanced techniques while exploring self-directed projects aimed at discovering your personal content. Also, you will be able to learn Incisione, which is a traditional advanced technique in Italian Jewelry.
Your body of work will evolve from your own ideas and research, shaped by your exploration of design philosophies. You will also be introduced to business practices.

The one-year Jewelry Master course is designed to provide students an opportunity to achieve the highest personal and professional accomplishment in the Jewelry field.
Students in the Master course focus on Jewelry Making, Stone Setting, Incisione and brattishing and Jewelry Design.
The curriculum provides a broad exposure to techniques, expands knowledge of applied design, and strengthens perceptual and philosophical concepts and expression.
Technical areas of study offered are: soldering, sheet fabrication, raising, stretching, forging, repousse, die-forming, casting, stone setting, tool making, metal finishing, chemical patination, titanium and aluminum anodizing, photo etching, metal inlay, roller printing, silver plating, working with plastics, and incisione.
Master students are assigned a private workspace. Before graduating, students are expected to demonstrate that they have developed their technical skills in areas that support their specific artistic direction.
