Mountain View Lutheran School, Las Vegas:
Located in North Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, Mountain View Lutheran School is owned, operated and supported by the Mountain View Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Congregation. Mountain View enrolls students in preschool age 3 through grade five and offers the advantages of a small Christian School with big school amenities. We are proud to serve families from Summerlin, Eastland Heights, Bonanza Village, Peccole Ranch and surrounding North Las Vegas communities. Class sizes are small and the teachers offer hands-on instruction. We encourage parental involvement and offer competitive sports, art, music, clubs, technology and foreign language. The school hosts community events such as an annual Harvest Festival, as well as a Spelling Bee, Social Studies and Science Fairs, and a school wide field day. Mountain View Lutheran school is committed to providing children with quality Christian education, using vigorous and exciting curriculum in a loving and nurturing environment.

We Believe:
> Every child is a unique creation with an individual pattern and timing of growth, as well as individual personality, learning style and family background.
> A child acquires cognitive, emotional and social knowledge and physical adeptness through playful, hands-on interaction with objects and people.
> A child does not need to be forced to learn, but rather, is motivated by a personal desire to make sense of his/her world.

Mountain View Lutheran School’s Preschool shall endeavor to provide a safe, loving, nurturing, and spiritually motivating environment, encouraging whole child growth and development, while responding to the needs of families. Each child will be exposed to a wide variety of learning experiences, encouraged to explore his environment and participate in activities in which he will experience success. Although specific learning experiences will be planned for each day, the atmosphere will not be so highly structured as to prevent the use of incidental  learning situations to their fullest extent.

Preschool; Kindergarten; Elementary School Programs for children from 3 years to 5th Grade. We incorporate the Creative Curriculum, which meets and exceeds the Nevada Pre-Kindergarten Standards. We encourage independent learning with children making choices, solving problems and learning critical thinking skills. Subjects inlcude competitive sports, art, music, clubs, technology and foreign language.

Extra Curricular Activities:
Mountain View Lutheran School offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students in grades 1-5. Our fourth and fifth graders have the opportunity to participate in competitive sports through the Redrock Athletic Conference. Our conference includes other private schools in our area. The sports that we offer are boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, flag football, and co-ed soccer. We also have a band program for the fourth and fifth graders. The afterschool clubs range are available to all students. Currently we offer book club, chapel club, science club, Spanish club, scrabble club, and we have a jump rope team. All students are encouraged to participate in the clubs that are offered for their grade.

Class fieldtrips are an extension of the class curriculum; therefore students attending on a fieldtrip day are expected to participate. We encourage parents to attend class fieldtrips with their child but ask that siblings not attend. This is a learning opportunity for the student and younger siblings may distract from a teachable moment.
