Why Choose Us?

Image of Preschool / Child Care Center in Manhattan, NYC- We offer families a warm, nurturing and loving second home for their children.
- Experienced teachers lead fun, active, hands-on learning activities while teaching important socialization skills.
- Warm, colorful and safe classrooms provide a home base for daily learning and playing, while the Field House’s state-of-the-art sports facility offers children the opportunity to participate in Manhattan’s best youth sports programs.
- All CP Kids staff are carefully selected and screened to ensure the highest quality care and instruction for our children.

Multi-Age Environment:
We believe that multiage learning environments in the early years are beneficial to children. With good teachers to guide them, older children learn compassion and caring for their younger friends. Younger children find, in their older friends, models who help them reach up and out to more advanced skills. Also, all children get the chance to be the youngest, and as they grow up in the program, to also be the oldest someday. Finally, we strive to keep a balance so children have same-aged peers with whom to develop friendships that provide challenge and companionship.

How is CP Kids Preschool different from day care?

Increased structure is one of the major differences between our day care and preschool programs. We capitalize on the maturing mind of the preschooler. Three to five-year-olds have increasingly greater levels of concentration, interest levels in special projects, and verbal skills for social interaction.

Our developmentally appropriate environment builds upon the learning that takes place in the toddler/2s years, and fosters the independence, critical thinking, and creativity of the three to five year old child. Intellectual growth is fostered through stimulating individual and group activities, opportunities for choice, age-appropriate materials and activities which help to develop oral language.

Study Skills for High School Students
Courses / Programs
Developing good study skills in high school will prepare you for academic success in college. Learning how to effectively manage your time, how to prioritize your work and how to retain important information are skills that will be of huge benefit to you throughout your life.

While you still have the support of your teachers in high school, you are expected to think for yourself and to take control of your learning. Whether you're a freshman or a senior, you can improve your study habits by making a few changes to your routine. Your academic success is entirely up to you!

Try to study in quiet environments that are free from distractions - you can't concentrate effectively if you are constantly being interrupted. Have a dedicated study area at home, and use your school library also. If you have disruptive classmates, try to sit as far away from them as possible so you can focus on your teacher.

Create an efficient and realistic study schedule for yourself and stick to it. Study for blocks of 20-50 minutes and make sure you take plenty of breaks. Try to be physically active during your breaks but make sure you return to your study!
Study Skills for High School Students:
- Time Management: Use planners, study plans & to-do lists to keep you on track.
- Self-discipline: Attend all classes and meet every deadline for assignments. Set aside time each day for study.
- Focus in class and listen attentively. If you don't understand something, ask questions!
- Effective note-taking: Make sure you record important points.
- Be organized: Keep all of your study materials in one place.
- Have a dedicated study area free of distractions.
