ISSOS, Summer School 2026 at St Andrews & Cambridge Universities:
Located in the world-famous university town of St. Andrews on the beautiful east coast of Scotland, ISSOS offers three-week summer school programs for international students aged between 13 - 18 years of age. Our residential summer camps for teenagers are held in July and August and provide a balanced summer program of academics, fun and culture. We offer an art elective option as part of our summer school in St. Andrews.

All students will be picked up by a uniformed member of staff at the selected international airport. St. Andrews is located approximately 50 miles (80km) north-east of Edinburgh and 80 miles (130 km) north-east of Glasgow. 

Art Elective Course (Available at St. Andrews only)
Students choose one academic subject and one elective subject to study during their 3-week stay. Students have the opportunity to take a art course as an elective subject.

The academic subjects available in St. Andrews that can be taken alongside the Art program are Creative Writing, Debating, English Language Course, International Baccalaureate (IB program) or Youth Leadership.

The ISSOS Summer Art Program has been carefully designed to enable students of all levels and abilities uncover their artistic potential.

Whether students are beginners hoping to awaken their creativity or are more advanced and already have a passion for a particular artistic technique, this art program offers something for all levels and abilities.

Students will study a wide range of methods, from line drawing and oil painting to more contemporary practices such as cartoon illustration and still photography.

Projects could be as diverse as designing an album cover for their favourite band to painting a self-portrait onto canvas – the possibilities are endless!
