ISSOS, Summer School 2026 at St Andrews & Cambridge Universities:ISSOS offers three-week summer school programs for international students aged between 13-18 years of age. Our residential summer camps for teenagers are held in July and August in the university towns of St. Andrews and Cambridge. St Andrews is located on the beautiful east coast of Scotland, approximately 50 miles (80km) north-east of Edinburgh and 80 miles (130 km) north-east of Glasgow. The city of Cambridge in England is situated approximately 50 miles (80 km) north-east of London.

Activities Program:

During their three weeks at our summer school, we immerse our students in the UK’s rich and unique culture and introduce them to some of its best-loved landmarks, cities and breath-taking natural wonders.
Our fun-filled and action-packed activities program is designed to give all our summer students the opportunity to enjoy new and stimulating experiences. Our activity program includes:

Day Trips:
Summer School trips are scheduled every Wednesday afternoon and weekends are reserved for a variety of day trips and summer school activities and time is also set aside for students to explore the idyllic location.
All summer school trips are designed to introduce students to the UK’s culture, vibrant cities and breathtaking scenery while providing a fun-filled and well-earned break from timetabled classes.

Evening Entertainment:
The evenings at ISSOS are full of fun, laughter and friendship! Each evening students will be able to partake in a wide variety of fun and exciting activities designed to cater to everyone's taste and hopefully inspire a few new interests along the way.
Activities may include: Talent show; Movie nights; Bonfire on the beach; Theatre trips to some of Scotland's leading theatres; Team games; World soccer; Scavenger hunt; Disco among many others.

Outdoor activities:
There is a wide variety of activities to choose from and they will be scheduled on weekends and timetabled activity periods.
All outdoor actives are run by professional instructors and are included in the price. Options include: Beach kite boarding, Soccer, Flag football, Surfing, Yoga, Hiking and Ultimate Frisbee.

Highland Games:
The final day of the summer school is reserved for fun. All students will have the opportunity to spend time with the many friends they have made and take part in our Summer School Highland Games.
During the summer school, students will become a member of a Scottish Clan and will take part in team games and competitions. The Highland Games sees the end of the competitions and the winning clan will win the ISSOS "Clan Cup".
