Study Design in Spain

Marbella Design Academy:
Marbella Design Academy welcomes Indian students to study abroad in Europe! A leading design school in Spain, we offer 3-year validated programmes in a range of creative arts subjects, that are taught in entirely in English. Taught at Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours Degree level, the Interior Architecture, Graphic Design, Fashion Design courses are approved and validated by the University of Bedfordshire, UK.

3-Year Design Programmes - Taught in English:
Courses commence twice a year, in September and January.

Interior Architecture & Design BA (Hons) validated programme
Leading to a BA (Hons) degree on graduation. The Bachelor of Arts degree is approved and validated by the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Graduates can then apply for an additional year to earn a Masters Degree at the University of Bedfordshire or another university of their choice.

This course has been designed to provide the students with knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the design process, from the brief given, research, sketches, technical drawings and the development of the ideas/projects to the finished presentation, including professional presentational techniques.

To achieve this, the course comprises theoretic tuition in form of lectures, guided practice, independent study and real life projects, as exercises to hone work skills.

The programme encourages students to acquire a comprehensive means of expressing their ideas that include software skills in programmes like Auto-Cad, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max and Illustrator from the 1st year onwards. 


Fashion Design & Development BA (Hons) validated programme
Leading to a BA (Hons) degree on graduation. The Bachelor of Arts degree is approved and validated by the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Graduates can then apply for an additional 10 months to earn a Masters Degree at the University of Bedfordshire or any other university of your choice.

The fashion programme will prepare graduates prepared to integrate into the work field, with deep understanding of the theories that guide the profession, as well as a hands-on command of the skills needed for all steps of project development, from design to sale, to include production, technology, marketing and management.


Graphic Design & Media BA (Hons) validated programme
Leading to a BA (Hons) degree on graduation. The Bachelor of Arts degree is approved and validated by the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Graduates can then apply for an additional 10 months of study to earn a Masters Degree at the University of Bedfordshire, UK or any other university of your choice.

This course evaluates and accomplishes proficiency in a vast array of resources for professional graphic representation.

Personal skills are honed to allow students to develop a signature style that will distinguish them within the professional design market. Techniques and processes are covered to prepare them in communication with both clients and printers, as well as a profound academic approach to the theories behind the expression of ideas.  


Annual Student's Exhibition:
At the end of the academic year the Fashion Design students will choose a catwalk model to present their designs at the school´s yearly "Students Exhibition" held in the middle of June.

All other Design Students at the Marbella Design Academy will also present their work at this exhibition, which is a big yearly event.

Following graduation, the student will have obtained the title of Designer within the discipline of their choice.


Comprehensive Computer Programme Training:
Besides all obligatory subjects taught, students will receive comprehensive training in the cutting-edge professional computer programmes used in industrial settings, such as Auto-Cad, 3D Studio Max, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. The computer programmes you will be taught depends on your chosen course.


Spanish Tuition:
Students have the option of learning Spanish alongside their design course. Spanish classes are held for 2 times per week after tuition hours during the academic year in all 3 years. The Spanish classes are voluntary.
