ISSOS offers three-week summer school programs in the world-famous university towns of St. Andrews on the beautiful east coast of Scotland and Cambridge in England.

Our residential summer camps are available to international students from around the world aged between 13 - 18 years of age (representing over 80 nationalities so far) during the months of July and August 2026. Students in both Cambridge and St. Andrews have the option of taking an English language course as an academic subject.

All students will be collected by a uniformed member of staff at the selected international airport. St Andrews is located approximately 50 miles (80km) north-east of Edinburgh and 80 miles (130 km) north-east of Glasgow. The city of Cambridge is situated approximately 50 miles (80 km) north-east of London. 

Summer English Course (Available in Cambridge & St. Andrews)
Students must choose one academic subject and one elective subject to study during their 3-week program. Students have the opportunity to take an English course as an academic subject.

Our Summer English course is available to students of all levels of English - from beginner to advanced. The elective courses that can be taken alongside this course are:

• St. Andrews: Golf, Tennis, Theatre, Film or Art.
• Cambridge: Theatre, Photography, Tennis or Outdoor Leadership. 

Course Content:
The exciting interactive summer English program helps students to become proficient in the English language while immersing them in an English-speaking environment.

Students receive daily instruction from experienced TEFL teachers who ensure that all core skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) are practised.

We also offer an advanced English language program for those whose spoken English is of a high standard, but whose written English needs work.

During your English summer course you will:

Advanced English Course (St. Andrews & Cambridge)
Aimed at those whose spoken English is of a high standard but who need to concentrate on their written English.

- Explore a range of writing styles
- Improve your confidence when using English language - both written and spoken
- Improve the formation of coherent arguments and structure in formal essay writing
