Today, Bath has the only hot springs in the UK, and is defined as a place of culture, healing and pleasure. Bath boasts an attractive riverside, Roman Baths and Georgian architecture. Other historic architecture includes The Royal Crescent, the Circus, the Abbey, the Pump Room and the Assembly Rooms. Bath is renowned for the range and quality of its restaurants, cafes and tea shops.

It only takes about 90 minutes by train to get from London to Bath. Bath, although a small city, has a metropolitan atmosphere with great shopping as well as excellent galleries and museums. Bath is surrounded by countryside in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and it has easy access to walking and cycling trails. Within an hour’s drive from Bath are a range of other attractions such as Cheddar Caves, Wookey Hole, Longleat, Stonehenge and Glastonbury Abbey.

Newton Park campus (all courses except art & design and general English) is a spectacular parkland estate, leased from Prince Charles. The grounds were designed by the landscape gardener Capability Brown in the 18th century. The campus has its own lake, nature reserve, woods and farmland, along with historic buildings. Frequent buses shuttle between the campus and Bath centre, which takes about 20 minutes one way.

Sion Hill campus is home to art and design studies and our English Language School. It is located on the north side of Bath. Sion Hill has a mixture of modern buildings, with Georgian Crescents, which Bath is well known for. The campus is surrounded by gardens and originally belonged to a 19th century mansion house. Although the house was destroyed in the war, the ornamental grounds remain.
