Aberystwyth University is located in Aberystwyth, a historic market town, administrative centre and holiday resort within Ceredigion, on the coast of Wales. Aberystwyth University has two attractive landscaped campuses. The campuses are about a mile apart by road on a well served bus route.

On both campuses, the laboratories, libraries, teaching and social buildings are within walking distance of each other, separated by open spaces with lawns and trees. Residential facilities for students are also located on campus. Together, both campuses provide an environment which is conducive to teaching and research.

Airport Links:

From Cardiff International Airport:
Passengers who have a valid train ticket can catch the free shuttle bus from the Airport terminal to the Airport's own train station. From here, catch the train to Cardiff Central Station and then you have the choice of travelling by bus or train to Aberystwyth.

From Gatwick Airport (London):
The train journey from Gatwick takes approximately six hours. Catch the direct train to London Victoria Station, then use the Underground's Victoria Line to reach London Euston Station for connecting services to Aberystwyth via Birmingham New Street.

From Heathrow Airport (London):
The London Underground will take you from Heathrow Airport to Euston for regular onward trains to Aberystwyth.

Ferry Links:

From Fishguard:
Fishguard is the arrival port for ferries from Rosslare. If you then need to use public transport to get to Aberystwyth, take the 412 bus to Cardigan and then change onto the X50 to take you to Aberystwyth.

From Holyhead:
Holyhead is the arrival port for ferries from Dublin and Dun Laoghaire. Catch either a train or bus from Holyhead to Bangor and then the X32 to Aberysywtyth if you need to use public transport.

Train Links:
Aberystwyth Railway Station is situated in the town centre, adjacent to the Bus Station and Taxi Rank. From Aberystwyth Bus Station a number of bus services regularly travel to Penglais Campus, including the 504 & 501. On foot the walk to Penglais Campus takes approximately 20 minutes.

Eurostar trains from Paris and Brussels arrive at London St. Pancras. It is about a fifteen minute walk to London Euston for onward trains to Aberystwyth via Birmingham New Street.
