Small University, Big Education:

Algoma University is the smallest university in the province dedicated to providing a cross-cultural learning experience and fostering student success. Our classes are capped at 65 students, but even then, most only have 22 students. Students have plenty of opportunity to learn and work alongside our dedicated faculty, and take part in a variety of undergraduate opportunities, including research positions. Our students benefit from an affordable educational experience, since they can earn one of Ontario's best entrance scholarships. If you have an 80 percent average or higher, you can win a $6,000, $10,000, or $12,000 scholarship over the duration of four years! Plus, tuition at Algoma U is one of the lowest.

The New Dorm, Spirit Village International Dormitory, and our townhouses are centrally located on the Algoma University campus, less than a minute walk to classes, computer labs, a fitness facility, and major transit routes.

You have two choices for on-campus housing: dormitory units and townhouse style units. First-year students or students who have been out of high school 15 months or less are typically housed in the dormitory. Townhouse residence is available to returning, mature, and transfer students.

All rooms in residence are private, single rooms, and all rooms and common areas have open internet access via active network connections as well as a residence-wide wireless system.

Marie is located in a spectacularly beautiful part of Ontario. Here you'll enjoy all the comforts of the big city and still be able to make it to one of the most beautiful beaches or highest ski hill in the province within 45 minutes.

The cost of living is very manageable, even for students who chose to live off campus.

•Part-time jobs are available to students on or off campus.

•Sault Ste. Marie has been designated an International Safe Community by the World Health Organization; it is a safe and comfortable place to live too.

•Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan lies on the other side of the St. Mary’s River, just a short trip over the International Bridge.

•Sault Ste. Marie (also known as ‘The Sault’) is also one of the sunniest places in Canada, and is becoming an alternative energy hub with solar and wind energy developments.

Yorkville University, Toronto

RCC School of Engineering Technology and Computing (SETC) is located at RCC Toronto's North campus, located in Concord, Ontario. It is the undergraduate technology division of Yorkville University, located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and specializes in technology-related education, providing both a Degree and Diploma program in Electronics Engineering Technology. The Diploma program can be taken as a two-year, or one-year intensive program.

For more than 80 years, SETC has supplied the technology sector with highly skilled graduates. Beginning in 1927 as a training facility for the radio and communications sector, the school quickly became a leader in electronics, micro-processing and computer-based systems education.

SETC offer the support, knowledge base and training essential to prepare for today’s job market. SETC programs give students great flexibility in balancing program length, level of skills acquired, and career options.

RCC Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing’s Engineering Technology programs are accredited by both the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) and the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
