East-West University:
East-West University, located in Chicago's South Loop neighborhood, Illinois, is a private, non-profit, non-denominational college offering two and four year degrees and certificates in fields that include Behavioral Sciences, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Health Sciences, and more. The university has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1983.
The university is housed in two buildings connected by a bridge on the third floor. The East Building at 816 S. Michigan was the original home of the university when it opened on September 5, 1980. In 1999, the university acquired The Loftrium Building, also known as the West Building, at 819 S. Wabash Avenue. In 2006, East-West acquired a lot on the southeast corner of 9th Street and Wabash Avenue intended to accommodate classrooms, offices, parking, and student housing.
