Institute of Hotel Management and Culinary Studies (IHMCS) is an accredited hotel management school based in Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan in north-west India. Founded by a group of dedicated hospitality professionals and experienced educators, we provide postgraduate and undergraduate degree, diploma and certificate courses in the fields of hotel management, hospitality management, culinary arts and bar tending.
Hospitality / Hotel Management Programs:
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) / Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Hotel Management - 3 years with 6 months internship:
This program walks you through every department of a hotel and trains your eye for the best practices in hospitality management. The entire Hotel Management program takes 3 years and requires 1 internship of 6 months.
The first year of the undergraduate program is dedicated to craft-based learning and hotel management courses. The first phase takes place in the school’s student-run restaurants and kitchen, and reception where students learn the proper techniques for providing excellent customer service in all departments. These learning experiences are then transferred to a professional environment for a 6-month internship in second year before the third year of hotel management courses begins.
Hotel Management Diploma:
Students who wish to take only the diploma can exit the Hotel Management degree program after one year and need to take the internship after the first year.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Hospitality - 2 years:
During the 2-year program, you will live and learn with a diverse group of experienced hospitality students to develop higher-management strategies, research competencies, and a specialization. This MBA goes further into strategic management and builds on previous hotel management competencies to prepare the graduate for executive management in hospitality organizations.
Diploma in Food Production - 1 year with 6 months internship:
This program uniquely fuses the art and science of cooking with an introduction to critical business management practices. Over the course of one year, students receive rigorous culinary training which includes managerial skills and hands on training.
Certificate in Culinary Arts, Accelerated Program - 3 months:
In just 3 months, the Accelerated program at IHMCS gives students the same depth of culinary education as the traditional one year program, without repeating general education requirements completed at other colleges.
Certificate in Baking and Pastry - 3 months:
This program prepares graduates to enter the baking and pastry profession with confidence. Students learn the science behind baking in lecture and application. Their creativity comes out in the chocolate and confectionery classes as well as practical classes for preparing cakes and various elaborate desserts.
Further Hospitality / Hotel Management Courses:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Hotel Management: 18 months + 6 months internship
- Postgraduate Diploma in Travel and Tourism: 18 - 24 months (3 semesters; 1 internship)
