Diploma in Interior Design
- Full Time / Part Time Courses.
- Studying requires an additional 6 months to achieve after foundation.

The diploma consists of 3 semesters spread over a period of 18 months. It is a step up where you will be introduced to topics that will not only hone your skills further but teach you to become a professional designer. Students will acquire in-depth knowledge of design processes and related conceptual thinking methodologies through the completion of more complex project submission.

The additional 6 month module comprises of two additional subjects namely, Design Calculation & Costing, and Design Practice Management. These subjects will allow participants to have sufficient knowledge to meet the needs and demands of their client in the real design industry. In addition, participants will also be honed with design communication skills to enable them to present their ideas and proposal in a professional manner.

When you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to progress to the Advanced Diploma in Interior Design.

Design practitioners who have worked in the industry for a minimum of 18 months also have the option of taking this course part-time. Course Content:

Semester 1:   Design Communication 1, Design Studio 1, Construction 1, Digital Imaging 1, Computer Aided Design 1, Design Fundamentals, Colour Concept for Design, Interior Design 1 (Residential)

Semester 2:   Design Communication 2, Design Studio 2, Construction 2, Digital Imaging 2, Design Contextual Studies, Material Technologies, Building Services & Lighting Practices, Interior Design 2 (Residential)

Semester 3:   Design Communication 3, Design Studio 3, Construction 3, Design Calculation & Costing, Computer Aided Design 3, Design Practice Management, Interior Design 3 (Commercial).

Advanced Diploma in Interior Design
- Full Time / Part Time
- Requires a final 6 months to achieve.

The Advanced Diploma in Interior Design is a twenty-four (24) months programme that will equip students with an ability to apply relevant design knowledge in a way that will enable them to gain entry into the professional design industry.

At the same time, it will equip you with experience in design integration and innovation, nurturing a creative mind essential for long-term progress and sustainability in the design industry.

Design practitioners who have worked in the industry for a minimum of 24 months also have the option of taking this course part-time. Course Content:

Semester 1:   Design Communication 1, Design Studio 1, Construction 1, Digital Imaging 1, Computer Aided Design 1, Design Fundamentals, Colour Concept for Design, Interior Design 1 (Residential)

Semester 2:   Design Communication 2, Design Studio 2, Construction 2, Digital Imaging 2, Design Contextual Studies, Material Technologies, Building Services & Lighting Practices, Interior Design 2 (Residential)

Semester 3:   Design Communication 3, Design Studio 3, Construction 3, Design Calculation & Costing, Computer Aided Design 3, Design Practice Management, Interior Design 3 (Commercial)

Semester 4:   Design Communication 4, Design Studio 4, Professional Design Practice, Building Technologies, Advanced Computer Aided Design, Interior Design 4 (Commercial).

Certificate in Interior Design
- Full-time / Part-time (12 month foundation course in interior design).

This 1 year course will help you to gain a fundamental knowledge and understanding of interior design. It will help students explore basic design development and processes. In addition, it introduces participants to unit conversions, scale reading, colour concepts, space planning, design styles, lighting, materials and finishes in each design application.
