Advanced Diploma in Interior Design:

Course Summary: 
The Advanced Diploma in Interior Design course is an incremental six (6) months course that extends from the Diploma course. It focuses on larger-scale mixed commercial interior design, challenging participants and instilling them with strong design solving and leadership skills. The course reaches beyond the design knowledge covered in the previous semesters and introduces new subjects such as:

- Environmental design and its influence on sustainable commercial interior design
- Professional Design Practices on how to manage and work with a group of professionals that are commonly engaged for large scale commercial projects.

Upon meeting all the requirements, participants will achieve an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design qualification.

Diploma in Interior Design:

- Requires an additional 6 months to achieve after foundation.

Course Summary: 
The Diploma in Interior Design course is an incremental six (6) months course that extends from the foundational Certificate course. It focuses on commercial interior design, allowing participants to broaden and diversify their design skillset.

The course has a continuation of subjects such as Design Studio and Design Communication that were covered in the first year; alongside new subjects that help to prepare for future industry practice:

- Design Practice Management that delves into the inner workings of a professional design practice setting
- Design Calculation & Costing to manage the budget of a project

Upon meeting all the requirements and achieving the Diploma in Interior Design qualification, those wishing to learn about larger-scale mixed commercial design projects can proceed to the Advanced Diploma in Interior Design course.

Certificate in Interior Design:
- Full-time / Part-time (12 month foundation course)

The Certificate in Interior Design and Decorative Techniques course is a twelve (12) months fundamental course designed for anyone who aspires to be a residential interior designer.

The course consists of two semesters focusing on residential design, touching on subjects such as:

- Design Communication through verbal and visual means such as mood and material boards, sketching
- Design Fundamentals like design principles and elements, colour concepts
- Digital Imaging through the use of Computer Aided Design software
- Design Studio like scale reading, construction drawing.

Upon meeting all the requirements and achieving the Certificate in Interior Design and Decorative Techniques qualification, those wishing to learn more about the commercial aspects of design can proceed to the Diploma in Interior Design course.

Professional Skills Development / Short Courses: 
Apart from interior design programs, we also offer short courses such as SketchUp, Autodesk 3Ds Max and Autodesk AutoCAD that are highly relevant to the design industry. As an Autodesk Authorised Training Centre, lecturers at Inspiration Design International School are officially registered with Autodesk, and they are highly qualified and all-rounded designers with industry experience.

The mode of study for these short courses is on a part-time basis, with the lectures for most of the modules conducted twice a week in the evenings on weekdays. 

Typically, each course will have six taught lectures of two hours delivered over three weeks. 

Both group and individual classes are available, with the teacher-student ratio for the former being 1:8. After the completion of the course, participants will be awarded a certificate of achievement as proof of participation.

• Autodesk 3DS Max Certificate Course:
The course is an introduction to the 3D Studio Max software. It is suitable for beginners in 3D modelling and rendering. Students who complete the course will be able to create and render a 3D model of a simple interior project.

This course is recommended for all designers who wish to gain the technical skills to complement their creative flair. In-house training is also available.

• Autodesk AutoCAD Certificate Course:
The course allows students to be equipped with one of the leading drawing software program in the design industry. Students will acquire the skills to design, draw and manage in the computer environment.

• Google SketchUp Certificate Course:
The course allows students to be equipped with basic knowledge to compose compelling graphics. Students will acquire the skills to design, draw, render, edit, use special effects and manage in the computer environment.

• Perspective Drawing Certificate Course:
The course will teach students on the technique to represent three dimensional images on a two dimensional picture plane. Perspective drawing is essential in creating an accurate and visually appealing piece of art.

• Adobe Photoshop Certificate Course:
The course allows students to be equipped with basic knowledge to compose compelling graphics. Students will acquire the skills to design, draw, render, edit, use special effects and manage in the computer environment. The duration for an individual tutorial is 12 hours. 

• Small Space Design Certificate Course:
The course aims at consolidating the basics of interior spatial design for small spaces, so as to help participants understand and apply the various strategies and aspects of making the most of their space, thereby allowing a critical approach to the design stage.

• Furniture Knowledge Certificate Course:
The course is designed for participants looking to deepen their skills and experiences within the furniture industry, and acquire the knowledge to develop creative furniture design concepts. Issues pertaining to design and construction are studied in the process of planning, visualising and realising a furniture design.

Participants will also gain knowledge of methods for expressing furniture design concepts, such as two-dimensional and three-dimensional sketching, and visualisation of a conceptual idea manually and in computer-aided design (CAD).

• Exhibition/Visual Merchandiser Design Course:
The course is designed for participants looking to specialise in planning, designing, fabricating, and installing interpretative exhibitions to encourage their visitors’ understanding, participation, and emotional engagement.
