Emory & Henry College:
Emory & Henry College, located in Emory, in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, is a liberal arts college offering more than 25 academic undergraduate degree programs of study, and more than 50 Bachelor degree programs. Academic course categories include Political Science, English, History, Business Administration, and more. Founded in 1836, Emory & Henry is the oldest college in Southwest Virginia. Academic Village:
The E&H campus is home to students as well as E&H professors, administrators and retired college employees. It is an "academical" environment in the spirit of Thomas Jefferson that underscores the broad dedication within the community to each student's enlightenment and success. By developing strong professional and personal relationships with their professors, E&H students never meet the challenges of the classroom, or the real world, alone.
Our Mission:
"Increase in Excellence," the historic motto of Emory & Henry College, expresses our intention to be a learning community that moves toward fulfilling every student's potential. Bishop John Emory, along with the founders of Methodism, symbolizes our belief in the union of faith and learning, while Governor Patrick Henry symbolizes our commitment to freedom and civic virtue.
