Language and Music For Life, Summer Music Camps in UK 2026 - all levels & backgrounds:
Are you searching for a quality cello summer course in the UK for your child or teenager? Founded in 1997, Language and Music for Life provides an international music and language summer camp in North Yorkshire, England for highly motivated musicians of all ages (children aged 5+, teenagers & adults). We offer quality one-to-one tuition in a wide range of string instruments, including cello, guitar, violin, or viola. We also offer classes in music composition, orchestra conducting, chamber music, as well as many other instruments and voice training. There is a rental scheme in place for cellos. LMFL also provides a summer music camp in Florence, Italy for adults & teenagers (16+) for all levels & backgrounds. Younger advanced students accompanied by at least one parent or guardian are also welcome.

Our cello summer camp 2026 will be hosted by Giggleswick School, a co-educational day and boarding school in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire, England. It is accessible from all parts of the UK through excellent road, rail and air links (Approximately 380km from London, 57 km from Leeds, and 100km from Manchester). The closest international airport is Manchester International Airport, just 70 miles away, with direct flights from major cities in UK, USA & Europe).

Music (Cello) & Language Summer Course 2026:
Our course runs for 2 weeks in July. Boarding and non-residential options are available.

This intensive music course is designed primarily for cellists and other musicians who possess a level of musical knowledge that enables them to derive maximum benefit from high quality tuition.

It is ideal for skilled amateur cello players, as well as for musicians who are preparing for national, international exams or competitions.

Young musicians under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, we will accept unaccompanied children from the age of 11 who are at an advanced level and known to us from attending a previous LMFL course.

We provide our students with opportunities to take renowned Trinity College London exams in both music and/or English language.

Participants also receive quality language tuition in Italian, French, Spanish, German or English in very small groups (5-6 maximum) or in one to one tuition. The IELTS English test preparation course can be studied either 1 -1 or in group tuition & will be for 17+ year olds.
