Our main course is 2 weeks in duration, or 3 weeks with our optional, intensive Pre-Course.
This unique summer music course is ideal for skilled amateur saxophone players, as well as for musicians who are preparing for national, international exams or competitions.
It is designed for those who possess a level of musical knowledge that enables them to derive maximum benefit from high quality music tuition from some of the world's best teachers.
Musicians are required to have a minimum of Level 6 or 7 in their main instrument, but if they choose to study a second or third instrument, that can be at a lower grade.
Saxophone players receive 10 hours of private saxophone tuition
during their 2 week course. A Sax Ensemble workshop is also available.
Other course options include Orchestra Conducting, Music Theory, Chamber Music, Music Composition and more.
In addition, participants receive quality language tuition in Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian, German, or English in very small groups (5-6 maximum) or in one to one tuition.
Residential and non-residential options are available. Young musicians under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, we will accept unaccompanied children from the age of 11 who are at an advanced level and known to us from attending a previous LMFL course.
