PCt2U:
In 2001 the owner of PCt2U presented his ground breaking Internet College project to Tony Blair at 10 Downing Street this being to train childminders over distance online without the need to go to College. From this pioneering work in distance education at a time when we still had to dial up to the Internet to get a connection the owner of the company has spent the last twenty years delivering education along with technology as a lecturer in universities, as a teacher in schools and as an advisor to many major corporations including GE in the USA and Telecom Malaysia. You could say with someone of this calibre leading the company you are going to get the best out of your online and distance learning experiences.

“I didn’t have any tutorials until the head of school sorted it with Paul Cook, I would of managed at the beginning a lot better if my school had of told me it was an option. In regards to my tutorials with Paul Cook, I couldn’t of managed without him, he was like my angel. Thank you for all the encouragement you have given me . I don’t know what I would have done without your endless support and cannot thank you enough”.
“Paul Cook, thank you for your invaluable mentoring these past months. I’ve had fun getting to know you better, and I’ve learned so much from talking with you and seeing how you work. You are amazing at what you do! I’m grateful to have had the chance to work with you so closely“.

The most important thing is that your teaching sessions are required to be supported by appropriate session plans and schemes of work. The observations are carried out by qualified expert professionals.
How long is the course?
Students are able to complete the course within a shorter time depending on a number of factors which includes own commitment and ability to study at a higher level. There is no compromise regarding the quality of evidence which has to be produced to demonstrate competency! Candidates will still be expected to evidence 100 teaching hours and 360 guided learning hours. Please bear in mind this course includes distance learning and students will require a lot of self motivation and should be committed and aim to maximise all the learning opportunities available! If a student invests more time on the course such as 15 hours a week then they will most likely complete earlier compared to someone who commits only 2 hours. You are usually expected to complete the course within 12 months from enrollment. However this time frame can extend given various mitigating circumstances up to a maximum of two years.
Entry requirements?
You will need to evidence Literacy and Numeracy skills. Students will also be expected to have access to 100 teaching hours.
You are expected due to the nature of course delivery to have access to the internet, computer and a word processor that can open and produce Microsoft Word Documents ending with the extension ‘.doc’. Candidates without Microsoft office are advised to consider free open source software such as Open Office. You however need to ensure your documents are saved and submitted for assessment as word documents ending with the extension ‘.doc’?

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) Despite being previously let down by an online training provider in the past, I was reticent about using another provider. When I first spoke to Paul he assured me he would help me get back on track and I would be able to complete my teaching qualifications. He kept to his word and I would highly recommend training with his company”.
