Beginner Interpreter Certificate:
This 40-hour curriculum is designed to train entry-level medical interpreters in to meet the needs of doctors' offices, hospitals, emergency rooms, and other medical facilities. Students will study the basic elements of medical interpreting and prepare to enter this growing field with this introductory course. Learn about the need for healthcare interpreting, recent developments in the field, its professional ethics, and standards of practice. Examine challenges and ethical dilemmas that often arise when interpreters and medical professionals interact, and develop the judgment needed to respond to them through role playing.

Intermediate Interpreter Certificate:
This course provides tools to develop and master the art and skills of medical interpreting and understand the role, responsibilities and boundaries of the interpreter, seen as an active team player in the triadic medical interview (provider-patient-interpreter). The course also presents the interpreter’s role as linguistic and cultural mediator in multidisciplinary settings and provides an introduction to anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, medical procedures and the role of various medical providers.

Advanced Interpreter Certificate:
This course returns to the intensive skills-training approach of Intermediate Interpreting, but now as a much higher level. After taking the specialized course(s) the students are ready to tackle much more complex and technical subjects and scenarios. This final course is designed to integrate and consolidate the skills, vocabulary, procedural awareness and professionalism that students have acquired over the length of the program. This course guarantees that students leave the program with their skills sharp and ready to perform at a superior level of professional capacity.

Translator Certificate - Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Levels:
This course has two main components: communication and translation. In the communication portion of the course, the focus is on the technical study of oral and written language, linguistics, communication theory, and intercultural communication. The translation portion of the course consists of practical instruction in the theoretical and technical aspects of translation by means of short theoretical presentations and practical exercises in the production of finished, proofread and edited translated texts using word processors. Students will learn how to select and use generalized and specialized dictionaries, how to compile customized glossaries and learn the best approaches to document preparation and output. Students will also have ample opportunities to interact and present material in class.

Beginner Anatomy and Physiology Certificate:
The purpose of this two-part online course is to introduce you to the structure and function of the human body. The course begins with an introduction to anatomy and its various branches, followed by a study of chemical organization, cells, tissues, organs, and various body systems.

Advanced Anatomy and Physiology Certificate:
The purpose of this two-part online course is to introduce you to the structure and function of the human body. In part 2, your studies continue with the study of the human body with emphasis on the cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. It also discusses special topics, including pregnancy, and human development.
