Established in 1987, Cultura Wien is a renowed German language school offering general German courses in Vienna, Austria to students from around the world. Our German courses are suitable for students of all levels from beginner to advanced and are available year-round.
Our experienced staff and teachers help to select the most appropriate German course for you, always have time to answer your questions, to assist you on practical matters and to accompany you on cultural or social activities. At the beginning of your course you are carefully placed in the appropriate class after a written and oral test. Innovative and well-balanced teaching methods will rapidly improve your German language skills.
The syllabus focuses on all language skills: communication (oral and written), grammar, listening and reading:
- You develop your communicative abilities with the help of dialogues, role-plays, discussions, pair- and group-work.
- You listen to authentic recordings. You learn grammar as a basis for communication.
- Daily assignments and regular tests are an integral part of the course.

Our highly qualified teachers are native-speakers and have many years of experience in teaching German as a foreign language. They create an atmosphere in the classroom that makes you feel at ease in the foreign language and achieve a maximum progress in a short time.
Right from the start the lessons are held in German. The aim is to make you understand as quickly as possible the language spoken around you and apply what you have learned in class.

Cultura Wien has been established since 1987 and has achieved its excellent reputation through first-class language teaching and a friendly and personal atmosphere, both of which are essential to your learning and feeling at home in a foreign country.
We have welcomed students from more than 60 countries over the past years. The average age of our students is 22-28 years, slightly younger during the summer term.

Cultura Wien is a member of "Campus Austria", an association of Austrian language schools, which offer German courses. Campus Austria is recognised by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture.
The membership is based upon self-imposed strict quality criteria, high teaching quality according to the latest guidelines, a commitment to constant in-service teacher training and regular inspection of all the services the school has to offer.
Cultura Wien is an examination-centre for the internationally recognised "Austrian Language Diploma" ("Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch") ÖSD.

We want our students to see more of Vienna than the average tourist! In addition to the German course, cultura wien organizes extracurricular activities, which allow students to meet outside the classroom, get to know Austrians and see places of interest.
The programme of activities is varied, so there is always something for every taste:
- culture: guided city tours, visits to museums, concerts, lectures, videos etc.
- sports: hiking tours, bicycle tours, volleyball, swimming, waltz lessons etc.
- social activties: parties, bar-hopping, visits to the Heurigen etc.
All the activities are optional, but we recommend you to take part in them to get the full benefit of the course. The activities are led by one of our teachers and are mostly free of charge except for entrance fees and transportation
The school office can always provide up-to-date information about cultural events and "in-places". Practise your German, make friends with students from all over the world and have fun!

Your German language courses take place in the middle of Vienna, directly opposite the Opera House. The underground station for three major routes (U1, U2, U4) is only 50 metres away from the school. Apart from that, many buses and tram routes stop right in front of your language school. So the DeutschAkademie is very easy to get to.

Learn Personal is conveniently located in the first district next to the Staatsoper. You can reach us by taking the U1, the U2, or the U3 to Karlsplatz. You can also reach us by the D, J, 1, or 2 Straßenbahn.
The start of the famous Kärntner Straße pedestrian shopping area is around the corner and leads you to Stephansdom and the Graben.
From U1, U2, U4: Exit at Karlsplatz. Walk underground in the Opernpassage to the Kärtner Straße exit, in the circular room with the Anker bakery. Take the stairs, or the escalator, to the surface (exit Kärntner Straße). You will see the opera house, turn right and walk a short distance to the Ringstraßen Galerien pavillion on your right. The entrance to LP is located under the pavillion on the left, next to Cindarella clothes shop.
