Laurel Springs School:
Located in Ojai, Ventura County CA, Laurel Springs School is an accredited, online private school that offers quality educational programs for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. We teach children from all over the U.S. as well as international students who want to attend American colleges and universities. We offer college prep academics, including Advanced Placement (AP), Honors, and Gifted and Talented programs.

Online / Homeschooling Educational Programs:

- Elementary School: Grades K-5:
Laurel Springs students can enroll in grades or courses matched to their level of proficiency. Laurel Springs students emerge from the K-5 program with the learning skills necessary to handle more challenging middle school work. Our project-based elementary curriculum, which is available to all students in kindergarten through 5th grade, integrates classic literary themes across all subject areas.  Beginning in 4th grade, students can take text-based courses, and in 5th grade, students have the additional option of online courses.

This approach gives homeschool families the best of both worlds: parents are fully supported with teachers and curriculum, yet they can choose projects that take advantage of resources available at home or in the local community.

- Middle School: Grades 6-8:
Students in 5th-8th grades can select project-based, text or online courses or may choose a combination of curriculum options as needed to create an optimal learning experience. As students progress into their middle school years, our college prep program builds self-esteem and lays the groundwork for high school. The middle school counselor plays a key role in keeping students focused and on track, supporting academic success.

Starting in 6th grade, we can organize for students to participate in our Gifted & Talented Academy. Beginning in 7th grade, students are eligible to join our online social network and clubs. 

- High School: Grades 8-12:
Laurel Springs offers a complete selection of core academic and elective courses required for graduation and admission to college. We have an outstanding track record of helping students to enter the college of their choice and fulfill their academic and career ambitions. We emphasize critical thinking throughout our high school courses so that students are prepared for the rigor of college-level academics. Our students’ SAT scores are above the national average, and 94 percent go on to college.

Our high school academics and counseling services prepare students for successful experiences in college and beyond, ensuring that they have essential 21st Century Skills of time management and self-advocacy.The Laurel Springs difference is in the relationships that students cultivate with teachers, school counselors, admissions coordinators, and peers.

Study Options:
- Project-Based Curriculum (K–8th Grade): Based on award-winning classic literature and hands-on projects. The curriculum integrates Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Health, Science and the arts around major themes. It is excellent for creative children and for families who want an experience-based curriculum.

- Textbook-Based Curriculum (4th–8th Grade): Our textbook-based curriculum addresses the reading and writing processes with care and sensitivity for the tremendous capacity for learning inherent in each child.

- Online Curriculum Package (5th–8th Grade): Combine the dynamic interactivity of the web with online assignments and checks for understanding. Courses are delivered via our learning management system (LMS), and use interactive electronic textbooks.
