Overlanders Manufacturing is seeking a detail‑oriented Order Entry Clerk to join our team. The Order Entry Clerk ensures accurate and efficient order processing while serving as the first point of contact for customers and visitors. This role involves entering and reviewing customer orders, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining clear communication throughout the order lifecycle. In addition, the role supports front‑office operations, including handling calls, managing correspondence, and assisting visitors.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently enter customer orders into the company’s database or order management system, ensuring all necessary details—product codes, quantities, and specifications—are recorded correctly.
- Thoroughly review customer orders to ensure completeness and accuracy, verifying that requested products, dimensions, materials, finishes, and other specifications align with company capabilities and standards.
- Process order changes or modifications requested by customers or internal stakeholders, updating order information accordingly and ensuring all parties are informed of any adjustments.
- Maintain organized and up‑to‑date records of all orders, including confirmations, purchase orders, change requests, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for future reference.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the order entry and fulfillment process; suggest and implement enhancements to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and improve overall customer experience.
- Maintain a high level of data entry accuracy when inputting order details, customer information, and other relevant data; perform regular data quality checks to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with the sales team to assist with order‑related inquiries, provide updates, and address customer requests for information or support; liaise between sales representatives and production/fulfillment departments as needed.
- Handle incoming calls efficiently, providing assistance, answering inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate department.
- Welcome and support visitors, customers, and staff with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive experience.
- High School Diploma required.
- Previous experience in order entry, administrative, customer service, or manufacturing environments is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Familiarity with ERP/order management systems is preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, fabrication, etc.) is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Location:
Abbotsford, BC.
Shift: Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Wage: $18‑$24 per hour (Dependent on experience).
