Senior Sales Demand Planning Manager

Reports to:

Director of Business Development

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Sales Demand Planning Manager to join our Sales & Business Development team. This role supports the Director of Business Development and the Sales team by leading the sales demand planning function, developing accurate sales forecasts, and communicating these forecasts throughout the organization. The manager will act as project lead to implement tools and software that enhance the demand planning process and lead the Customer Service team to ensure customers receive timely and accurate order information.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Sales Demand Review Meetings as part of the S&OP team.
  • Roll up sales forecasts on a regular basis and present executive-level revenue estimates.
  • Provide input into improvements to the S&OP process to support forecasting KPIs.
  • Lead multiple projects from start to finish, driving enhancements to planning and reporting capabilities.
  • Work with sales, customers, and distributors to ensure accurate baseline and incremental forecasts are updated and communicated.
  • Establish volume forecasts for all products at SKU and customer level.
  • Analyze current sales trends and insights to improve ongoing product forecasts.
  • Own, generate, and effectively communicate meaningful sales and forecast reporting.
  • Lead and execute improvement ideas to streamline the business, including the implementation of new demand‑planning software.
  • Lead the Customer Service Team to ensure orders are entered accurately and timely, and that the team has the tools to communicate order status.
Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in a customer‑focused environment.
  • Degree or diploma in Business or a related field.
  • Experience building effective alliances with internal teams and customers.
  • Experience in demand planning and/or trade spend management systems.
Nice‑to‑Have
  • Experience with Exceedra.
  • Experience implementing a demand‑planning software into a business.
  • Experience in the CPG and/or manufacturing industry.
Skills
  • Deep knowledge of an effective S&OP process within a manufacturing/sales organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead regular sales team and supply‑chain discussions and to respectfully challenge teams when warranted.
  • Excellent project management and execution skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and the management of large datasets.
  • Ability to efficiently create effective presentations and reports, including spreadsheets, charts, and dashboards that illustrate forecast summaries, KPIs, and order status.

  • Analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to draw insights to improve forecast accuracy.

Salary

Salary – $105,000 – $132,000
