Summer Event Planner at UFV SUS

Step into the role of Summer Event Planner with the University of the Fraser Valley Student Union Society. This full-time position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and student engagement.

The UFV Student Union Society seeks a motivated Special Events Program Planner to assist in coordinating various events and student initiatives over the summer. You will support Clubs and Associations, communicate with vendors, and help ensure successful programming. This role emphasizes creativity and collaboration throughout the planning and delivery of activities that engage students on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create planning documents like budgets and floor plans

• Assist with event set-up, execution, and take-down

• Communicate with Clubs and Associations using Rubric

• Build relationships with local businesses for the Student Perks Program

• Collect feedback and recommendations post-events

Requirements:

• Basic event planning or related experience

• Understanding of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

• Strong communication skills in person and digitally

• Organized with time management skills

• Ability to adapt and prioritize effectively
