Hi, I am Aoife Ryan, the Director of Education Operations at Musora Media.
We are an online music education company with a vision for a world where everyone can play music.

We are looking for a Junior Video Editor to help us turn great performances into unforgettable learning experiences. As a Video Editor, you'll own the post-production process, collaborate with educators and production teams, and even play a key role in our live studio productions to bring music education to life.

What You’ll Do (Key Duties)

Responsible for editing of all video content types across all Musora brands.

Media asset management for raw and finalized footage.

Liaison with Project Managers, Studio Specialists, Notation Specialists, Education Coordinators and Curriculum Director for all content types.

Quality control/proofing of edited content.

Operating a video switcher in studio, switching between different camera angles and adding markers as instructed.

Key Responsibilities

Editing videos and ensuring sheet music and educational aspects in the video are correct.

Manage task assignments, review deliverables, and maintain an efficient workflow, ensuring alignment with project timelines and priorities.

Owning the post-production workflow, which includes having a high level of initiative and the ability to solve problems ahead of time and in the moment.

Being on set as scheduled to participate in Educational shoots, operating video switcher as instructed by the Team Lead.

Requirements What We’re Looking For (Who you are; skills, knowledge, abilities and more!)Knowledge/Education/Experience

3+ years of continuous experience in film/video production.

Highly skilled in post-production workflows and editing videos.

Proficient in the English language (verbal and written).

Knowledge of operating video switchers in a studio setting is a plus.

Proficiency in editing using DaVinci Resolve.

Skills, Abilities and Other Attributes

Experience utilizing remote access workflows, such as Parsec or Jump Desktop.

Experience using Slack for team communication.

Experience using Asana or other task management software.

Prior experience in video editing, in projects that have multiple deliverables.

Strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple deliverables including clear and concise NLE project organization.

Able to proficiently sync 5 to 9 camera video files and audio to using DaVinci Resolve.

Make adjustments to multiclip nests when needed to create "picture-in-picture" layouts, according to instructions and templates.

Take pre-livecut content and make adjustments to any missed timed cuts or switch angles as needed. Add music, sound effects, transitions and graphics as instructed.

Ability to apply a strong working knowledge of music theory, rhythm, and musical structure to edit music education content effectively, including:

Maintaining accurate timing and alignment with musical performances

Supporting clarity of instruction through thoughtful visual pacing and cuts

Enhancing the learning experience for students through precise and intentional editing choices.

Create word-highlighting animations and adjust them to sync over singing performances.
