The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC is an independent, non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. Our mandate is to enhance and conserve BC’s freshwater fisheries for public benefit. Working in partnership with government, industry and anglers, our goal is to make fishing in BC even better through the enhancement and conservation of BC's freshwater fish resources.

We are seeking an innovative, energetic and progressive Outreach Coordinator to support the delivery and continued growth of the Society’s outreach programs across BC. This is a regular full-time opportunity.

The Outreach Coordinator will coordinate key programs, including Learn to Fish, Rod Loan, Family Fishing Weekend and environmental education and stewardship initiatives; identify, develop and secure external funding opportunities to support and expand outreach programming; build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, community organizations and program partners; represent the Society at community events, trade shows and through media opportunities; and support R3 (Recruitment, Retention and Reactivation) activities by introducing new people to recreational fishing and encouraging continued participation.

The position plays an important role in growing participation in recreational fishing and angling licence revenue and contributing to the long-term freshwater angling license sales.

Working for the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC is more than a job. It’s a chance to be part of a unique organization that’s making a real difference in the future of BC’s fisheries. If you are a team player committed to service excellence and are seeking a rewarding opportunity where you can be part of an exciting organization, we would like to hear from you!
