Position OverviewThe Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new customers, building relationships, and supporting the sales process from initial contact through to customer onboarding.
This role is suited for someone who is comfortable speaking with customers, has a basic understanding of transportation and logistics, and is motivated to build and grow a long-term book of business.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and contact potential new customers
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Understand customer shipping needs and recommend appropriate solutions or services
- Support the onboarding of new customers
- Work with internal teams to help ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain accurate notes and records of sales activity
- Look for opportunities to grow both new and possibly existing accounts
- Experience in sales, logistics, transportation, or a related field is an asset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with customers, with clear written and spoken vocabulary
- Comfortable engaging customers by phone, email, and in person—on-site visits will be an important part of this role
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple opportunities without losing attention to detail
- Able to work independently, while staying aligned with internal teams and support structure
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Curiosity and willingness to learn the transportation industry and how real-world logistics actually operates
