Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic/Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands‑on experience with heavy‑duty highway tractors and trailers, and the ability to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics across a variety of different brands of trucks and trailers. This role offers an prospect to work on tractors and trailers. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent problem‑solving skills, and safety awareness to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

Mechanics with a Class1 license will be preferred.

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on highway trucks and trailers
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or assemble machinery
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on equipment
• Assist in the installation and assembly of new machinery or equipment
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
• Conduct inventory of parts and be responsible for ordering parts

• Proven mechanic or journeyman experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and repair
• Dealership experience is highly desirable
• Proficiency with schematics, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures
• Hands‑on experience with welding, and heavy‑duty automotive repair
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including heavy‑duty vehicles and power tools
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures for highway vehicles
• Excellent problem‑solving skills
• Valid certification or license as a mechanic/journeyman preferred but not mandatory depending on experience level

$29.00–$35.00 per hour
