BA Blacktop Ltd. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Millwright
to support asphalt plant operations. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production while maximizing plant uptime.
- Execute facility repairs and assist in the installation and relocation of equipment as needed.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on asphalt plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and replace bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and other rotating equipment.
- Conduct welding, fabrication, and metalwork repairs as required.
- Maintain drum mixers, asphalt silos, batch towers, baghouses, crushers, and aggregate handling systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Perform equipment alignments, installations, and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
- Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and inspection documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with plant operators and supervisors to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in emergency breakdown response and scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
- Red Seal Millwright Certification (or equivalent Industrial Mechanic certification), or completion of at least the first part of a Millwright coursework
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with conveyors, crushers, screening equipment, pumps, and material handling systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience working in asphalt, aggregate, construction materials, mining, or heavy industrial environments.
- Welding certification and fabrication experience.
- Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Mobile equipment operation experience (loader, skid steer, forklift, etc.).
Pay:
From $48.09 per hour
