Liebherr-Canada is looking for senior Field Technicians, to support a significant Mining project with Elk Valley Resources, owned by Glencore Canada, in Sparwood, British Columbia
. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced technicians to bring their expertise and play a key role in the success of this initiative.
On this project, you will work a 14-days-on / 14-days-off schedule, with 12-hour shifts, and with the opportunity for overtime on days off. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective repair and maintenance of machinery and components on heavy equipment, in the field, ensuring a high level of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Given the nature of the project and the proposed schedule, we are welcoming Field Technicians from Sparwood, Vancouver, Medicine Hat, Leth Bridge, Red Deer, Kamploops, Kelowna, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Starwood, Calgary, Edmonton, among other adjacent locations.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose Liebherr machinery and components including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, gearbox/drive train, etc. to resolve moderate to complex problemsPerform new and used machinery preparation, scheduled maintenance, repair or overhaul usually requiring component replacement, commissioning and adjustment of mechanical/hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment, including warranty upgradesRecondition and repair equipment components and systems as assignedPerform pre-delivery inspections of equipment and new & used equipment preparationOccasionally perform servicing on Liebherr machinery as directed, including fluid checks, and sample pulling, oil and filter checks, changing lubricants, replacing filters, greasing machine lube points etc.Ensure components, material and/or equipment is inspected, is corrected to specifications and ensure timely delivery programs are achievedEnsure all final verifications specified in work instructions, scope of work, verbal communication and specifications are carried out and completeAccurate and timely submission of reports and technical document including service reportsOperate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with company policySupport in Shop repairs/work as requestedOther duties as assignedCompetencies
