Join us as we celebrate fifty years! Fraser Valley Fire Protection is based in Abbotsford, serving customers from Hope to Whistler in commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial buildings.

• Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance on sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose and repair deficiencies: leaks, corroded pipe, failed heads, air compressors, dry valves, alarm and supervisory devices
• Test backflow assemblies, fire pumps, and standpipe systems where certified
• Complete small retrofits, tenant improvements, head relocations, and system modifications
• Write accurate inspection reports and deficiency lists so the office can quote and schedule the repair work quickly
• Explain findings to building owners and property managers in plain language
• Keep your van stocked, your tools in safe working order, and your paperwork current
• Work safely under FVFP's safety program, WorkSafeBC requirements, and site-specific plans
• Mentor apprentices working with you
• Other duties as assigned

• Red Seal Journeyperson Sprinkler fitter certification
• Valid BC driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract
• Comfort working alone, at heights, and in occupied buildings
• Sound judgment on which deficiencies need immediate attention

• BCWWA backflow assembly tester certification
• Red Seal Plumber
• ASTTBC Registered Fire Protection Technician (RFPT)
• Occupational health and safety training or experience
• Fire pump or special hazard systems experience
