Installation Design Engineer (f/m/d)
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and design expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and solutions-focused teammates. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality installation engineering solutions that meet project and regulatory standards. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Project Managers, Site Managers, and Installation Supervisors), review civil interface drawings, and ensure deliverables meet project execution requirements, and much more.
You'll specifically take care of preparing and executing installation engineering activities, such as drawings, documentation, and work method statements, but also support the field teams in reviewing deliverables and implementing necessary design modifications.
We'll look for you to:
- Prepare and execute installation engineering activities for bids and projects
- Ensure compliant, high-quality deliverables aligned with project and customer requirements
- Collaborate with field teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive project success
- Review civil interfaces and define signalling installation requirements
- Contribute to installation strategies, material specifications, and quantities planning
- Perform site surveys and support project execution from preparation to delivery
- Drive continuous improvement by contributing to best practices and standard processes

- Degree in engineering or equivalent education/experience
- Experience in railway site management
- Knowledge of railway products and services across different market segments (Urban, Mainline, Freight & Mining)
- Experience in design, drafting, or engineering (project and/or construction experience is appreciated)
- Understanding of installation engineering processes and deliverables
- Familiarity with civil interface drawings and space allocation for signal equipment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams
