Senior Manager International Taxes (m/f/d)

In the 2024 fiscal year, the Tires business area generated revenue of 13.9 billion euros. The tire division of Continental employs more than 57,000 people worldwide and has 20 production and 16 development sites.
- Management, coordination, and support of relevant tax issues in the countries of responsibility including regular contact with local colleagues and consultants
- Regular information about the local tax laws of the companies under management and proactive analysis regarding the impact on Continental
- Participation in and coordination of foreign tax audits; contact person for external consultants and tax authorities
- Control of the tax reporting of companies in the countries of responsibility with a focus on the consistency of the effective tax rate and tax cash flow
- Conducting so-called tax health checks, partly on-site in the companies under management
- Participation in reorganization projects (M&A or internal restructuring ideas) such as sales, purchases, liquidations, mergers, etc. with the aim of implementing tax-efficient transaction structures; accompanying due diligence processes and in the case of corporate acquisitions, tax support for the integration of acquired companies
- Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics, law, or a comparable field with a focus on taxes
- Successfully passed tax consultant exam or comparable international qualification
- Several years of professional experience (at least 3-5 years) in international tax law, ideally in a multinational company or a renowned consulting firm
- In-depth knowledge of international tax law, particularly in the areas of double taxation agreements, OECD guidelines and BEPS initiatives, withholding taxes, and international tax structures
- Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
- Very good English language skills in writing and speaking;
German language skills are advantageous - Analytical and strategic thinking
- High problem-solving skills and structured working method
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Intercultural competence and confident demeanor in an international environment
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- High level of responsibility and integrity
