As a member of the system administration team, you will lead Windows administration to define and manage the Windows domain supporting cyber R & D activities. You’ll design and implement improvements to hardware and software architecture and configurations, create and modify scripts used for system administration, and maintain and provide lifecycle support for deployed systems. This includes troubleshooting, updating baselines, configuration control support, and inventory management.
You will work on Windows systems, both physical and virtual operating systems, performing provisioning, configuration, patch and update management, and secure baseline management using SCAP tools and STIGs. You’ll help customers overcome challenges by recommending improvements, creating documentation, and supporting configuration management processes. You’ll provide customers insight into the network through monitoring and performance management.
- Lead Windows domain administration for cyber research and development activities.
- Design and implement hardware and software architecture improvements.
- Develop and maintain scripts for system administration.
- Provide lifecycle support for deployed systems, including troubleshooting, baseline updates, configuration control, and inventory management.
- Manage imaging, provisioning, configuration, patch and update management, and secure baseline management for Windows physical and virtual systems.
- Recommend improvements, create documentation, and support configuration management processes.
- Monitor network and provide performance management insights to customers.
- 5+ years of systems administration experience with Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat and Ubuntu).
- 3+ years of network administration experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
- 1+ year of virtual server management experience using VMware, Hyper‑V, or Kubernetes.
- 1+ year of desktop support experience.
- Experience with inventory control and management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- DoD 8140 certification.
- Top Secret clearance required.
- Patch management and vulnerability scan experience.
- System imaging experience.
- Experience working in an air‑gapped environment.
- Vulnerability management, STIG application, and POAM resolution experience.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
- Cisco CCNA certification.
Full salary range for this position is $77,600.00 to $ (annualized USD). Compensation includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits; paid leave; professional development; tuition assistance; work‑life programs; and dependent care.
