to join our team! In this role you will provide advanced statistical and mathematical leadership to design, execute, and oversee the analysis and interpretation of complex data in order to deliver high-impact customer solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing- Leads the design, planning, and execution of advanced analytical projects that address complex and/or ambiguous business problems across multiple domains.
- Formulates problem statements, selects appropriate statistical and machine learning methods, and defines evaluation approaches for high-impact analysis.
- Architects and oversees robust data pipelines and analytic solutions using tools such as R, Python), to transform and move data between applications, following prescribed patterns and tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Elastic Search, Kibana, and advanced statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Mat Lab) to support repeatable and scalable analysis.
- Directs the application of business analytics and customer segmentation techniques across multiple corporate functions, ensuring methodological rigor and consistency.
- Designs and leads deep-dive analysis of website design, customer interactions, digital experiences, and future products/services, translating findings into strategic recommendations.
- Develops and validates complex mathematical algorithms and analytical models to meet challenging operational and customer requirements.
- Leads the creation of advanced dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools, ensuring they align with stakeholder needs and organizational standards.
- Partners with business and technical stakeholders to integrate analytic solutions into operational workflows and systems, ensuring adoption and measurable impact.
- Identifies and champions systems enhancements, new analytic capabilities, concept demonstrators, and business cases that expand the organization’s data and analytics maturity.
- Provides formal and informal training, mentoring, and technical guidance to junior and mid-level data scientists, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Directs and coordinates the work of highly skilled technical and analytical teams, ensuring alignment, quality, and timely delivery of complex analytic solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree in statistics, mathematics, image science, remote sensing, earth science, physical science or related technical or scientific field or equivalent experience within related field.
- 7+ years of related experience.
- Ability to develop mathematical algorithms and applications in response to complex requirements.
- Ability to leverage a range of data sources (e.g., Web traffic, customer requests for information, survey responses, production databases, etc.) to gain an understanding of what drives a positive customer experience.
- Ability to identify systems enhancements and new capabilities, concept demonstrators, and capability business cases.
- Advanced level proficiency with MS Office, data mining, ability to develop and manipulate, and maintain databases.
- Demonstrated experience using Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) statistical software (SPSS, SAS, Mat Lab etc.), COTS desktop software (MS Office and Access), and the Windows operating environment.
- Demonstrated experience with software packages used for advanced statistical analysis of operational data and tools for data visualization.
- Ability to provide training as new systems and capabilities move into operational use. Must be able to take leadership roles on technical teams or consortiums.
- Demonstrated participation in and/or directing the activities of highly skilled technical and analytical teams responsible for developing solutions to highly complex analytical/intelligence problems.
- Understanding of customer policies like International Policy, Co-Production, and dissemination of data desired
- Strength in collaboration and teamwork within, between, and across organizational boundaries.
- Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills and an ability to work cooperatively and effectively as a team member.
- Must possess a SECRET Clearance (highly preferred TS/SCI or above)
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
