** Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm American Construction Metals (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. ACM is seeking a Receiving Technician to join its team. If you're looking for a fast-paced position with an established company, we want to hear from you!
** Specific duties include:
*** High school education or GED equivalent.
* Prior forklift experience preferred.
* Basic computer skills are required.
* Ability to read, write clearly, and do simple math.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work with others.
* Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean workplace.
* An orientation toward customer service is important.
* Experience working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
* Flexibility to handle multiple tasks at once.
* Ability to be cross trained in multiple areas.
** Qualifications include:
*** Excellent organization skills
* Superior attention to detail
* Experience working with distribution software is a plus
* Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred
* ** Must have two years of sidown forklift experience
**** Physical Demand:
*** Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
** Work Environment:
*** 100% manufacturing setting
* Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
* Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery
