Job Summary:

The City Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the city's infrastructure and public spaces. This position requires a strong knowledge of city maintenance procedures, a commitment to safety, and a dedication to providing excellent service to the public.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Concrete and asphalt finishing

* Maintain city streets, sidewalks, and public areas by performing tasks such as sweeping, raking, and removing litter.

* Repair and maintain city infrastructure such as street signs, traffic signals, and drainage systems.

* Inspect and repair city buildings and equipment.

* Operate light and heavy machinery such as tractors, mowers, and trucks.

* Perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.

* Use safety equipment and follow safety procedures at all times.

* Work with other city departments and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.

* Provide excellent customer service to the public.

Skills and

Qualifications:

* Experience with concrete and asphalt is preferred.

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Ability to lift and move heavy objects

* Ability to work in all weather conditions

* Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques

* Ability to use light and heavy machinery

* Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision

* Valid driver's license
