Facility Services, Inc. (FSI) is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to support our operations. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping facilities running smoothly, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll DoAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll tackle a wide range of tasks to ensure our buildings and equipment are in top shape. Your work will span multiple trades, including:
- Routine Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. - Troubleshooting and repairs:
Diagnose and repair issues with building systems, including plumbing leaks, electrical failures, and HVAC malfunctions. - Installation:
Install new equipment and systems as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. - Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations, prioritizing tasks based on urgency. - Documentation:
Maintenance accurate records or maintenance activities, inspections and repairs performed, adhering to compliance and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. - Problem-Solving
Skills:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various maintenance issues effectively. - Physical Stamina:
Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces - Communication
Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report on maintenance activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain NAC/LAC clearance
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with staff, officials, and patients
