Yard Checker

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Yard Checker to join our team in Aberdeen, Maryland. This individual will be responsible for conducting physical yard checks, verifying trailer statuses against reports, entering data into our Warehouse Management System (WMS), and assisting with guard shack duties. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in clerk, dispatch, or guard shack/gate roles, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle to perform yard checks, and more listed below.

• Starting at $19/hour
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Monday through Friday 6am – 2:30pm
• Located in Aberdeen, Maryland

• Perform Yard Checks:
  Drive through the yard to locate, check, and record trailer and container numbers against daily yard reports
• Physical Inspections:
  Safely open unsealed trailer/container doors to verify if they are empty or full (doors can weigh up to 50 lbs)
• Data Entry:
  Accurately enter, update, and remove trailer information in the computer system
• Guard Shack Operations:
  Assist with guard shack duties, including interacting professionally with incoming/outgoing drivers, logging entries, and using our WMS system
• Outdoor Work:
  Work outdoors in various weather conditions to complete checks efficiently

• Experience:
  
  Resume showing previous experience in clerk, dispatch, or guard shack/gate roles is required
• Vehicle & Driver’s License:
  Valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle to perform yard checks

  Skills:
  
  Basic computer skills required; comfort learning data entry and WMS software
• Physical Ability:
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (opening heavy trailer doors) and work outside in the elements
• Attendance:
  Strict attendance is required. Because this role is vital to daily operations, complete dependability during and after the 5-day training period is non-negotiable
