Warehouse Porter​/Janitor

Position Overview

Earning: $17 per hour, 1st Shift

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian/janitor.
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors.
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product.
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly.
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels.
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.

• Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift.
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting product weighing between 1 – 60 lbs. or more.
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead.
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height.
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools.
