Job Summary
Inventory Manager in Aberdeen, MD reporting to Senior Logistics Manager, responsible for tracking incoming and finished goods materials, packaging supplies, etc., required for warehousing and distribution of customer products. Provides accounting support regarding inventory issues. Directly supervises cycle counters and a clerk. Requires active participation in daily operations and projects to support facility goals and objectives.
Essential Functions- Track day‑to‑day facility inventory costs and support facility KPIs, including GMP, safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, and maintenance.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports.
- Develop and maintain inventory control systems that meet current and future facility needs.
- Develop and manage the facility cycle‑count program and the inventory recoup/repack/return/recycle program.
- Provide floor support to Operations Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues and office support to I/O Coordinators and receiving/shipping office personnel.
- Facilitate and execute the hold process for the local site.
- Influence and assist in employee development and conduct periodic performance evaluations of direct reports.
- Ensure daily communications and shift meetings provide necessary information for employees to perform consistently.
- Promote positive customer relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Prioritize and organize work with strong follow‑up, analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers, employees, peers, and management.
- Work self‑directed with minimal supervision; work independently as part of a team.
- Manage individual performance and employee relations.

- Multi‑task, stay highly organized, and manage time efficiently.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows.
- Exposure to Lean principles, systems, and tools (beginner preferred).
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (intermediate preferred).
- Knowledge of OSHA (intermediate required).
- DOT and Hazmat knowledge may be required based on the account (intermediate preferred).
- APICS certification (intermediate preferred).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- Three or more years of manufacturing/production/distribution inventory experience required.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience required.
- Three or more years of PC inventory and accounting skills required.
- Three or more years of problem‑solving experience; use of formal root‑cause countermeasure systems preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Exposure to Lean principles, systems, and tools (beginner preferred).
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (intermediate preferred).
- Knowledge of OSHA (intermediate required).
- DOT and Hazmat knowledge may be required based on the account (intermediate preferred).
- APICS certification (intermediate preferred).

Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, based on experience. Salary paid twice per month. May be eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan.
Schedule & LocationMonday‑Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
