Warehouse Team Lead

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Full Time Warehouse Team Lead in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Warehouse positions pay weekly:

• Hourly Pay: $20.67 per hour
• Shift Premium: 2nd shift $1.50
• Schedule:
  
  Monday 5pm-1:15am and Tuesday-Friday 4pm-12:15am

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One year or more Microsoft Office experience preferred
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proactively approaches responsibilities
• Maintains composure under pressure
• Works using health and safety methods
• Bilingual (for Québec locations only)

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members for optimal shift logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using appropriate leadership styles.
• Assist in orientation of new employees and provide them with the necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operational effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
