Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a Full Time Warehouse Team Lead in Aberdeen, Maryland.
Compensation & ScheduleWarehouse positions pay weekly:
- Hourly Pay: $20.67 per hour
- Shift Premium: 2nd shift $1.50
- Schedule:
Monday 5pm-1:15am and Tuesday-Friday 4pm-12:15am
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
- One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
- One year or more Microsoft Office experience preferred
- One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience with an RF scanner advanced required
- Valid forklift operator's license certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proactively approaches responsibilities
- Maintains composure under pressure
- Works using health and safety methods
- Bilingual (for Québec locations only)
- Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations.
- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members for optimal shift logistics.
- Inspire and guide team members to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using appropriate leadership styles.
- Assist in orientation of new employees and provide them with the necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
- Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
- Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operational effectiveness and service levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
