Warehouse Shipping Clerk

Position Overview

At C&S Wholesale Grocers, we work to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As an Outbound Shipping Clerk you will help verify and keep records of outgoing shipments, using your strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills to get the job done.

• Pay:  20/hr plus a  2/hr freezer differential ( 22/hr total)
• Shift: 6:30 AM until work is finished

• Preparing documents such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route products.
• Recording shipping data including weight, charges, space availability, damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting and record-keeping purposes.
• Conferring and corresponding with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damage and non-conformance to specifications.
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape and height levels.

• At least six months of warehouse experience.
• Electric pallet jack experience preferred.
• Strong planning and execution skills.
• Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
• Strong team orientation and collaboration to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with people at all levels in the organization.
• Ability and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures.

• General Equivalency Diploma or High School Diploma in General Studies.
• Initiative, productivity, quality, safety and values orientation.
• Attendance record demonstrating reliability.
