Civil Engineer - South Dakota

A well-established engineering consulting firm in the Midwest is seeking a Civil Engineer (PE) to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of land development and infrastructure projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design efforts on a range of public and private sector projects.
• Prepare and review plans, specifications, and technical documents related to site development and utility infrastructure.
• Support grading, drainage, stormwater, roadway, and utility design activities.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and assist with permitting efforts.
• Develop construction cost estimates and provide technical support throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Desired Background

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Approximately 5-10+ years of experience in civil engineering, land development, municipal, or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with local permitting processes and engineering standards.
• Experience with industry-standard design software and engineering tools.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
