If you enjoy helping people achieve their financial goals while providing exceptional member service, Area Federal Credit Union invites you to join our team as a Personal Banker in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

As a Personal Banker, you'll build relationships with members by providing personalized financial solutions, opening new accounts, processing consumer loans, and educating members about the products and services that best fit their needs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with people in a professional, team-oriented environment.

Compensation

Pay: $19.67-$26.23 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to members in person and by phone.
  • Open new member accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  • Answer questions regarding accounts, products, services, and credit union policies.
  • Process consumer loans, including loan closings and disbursements.
  • Assist members with transfers, withdrawals, loan payments, certificate transactions, and other account services.
  • Identify opportunities to recommend products and services that meet members' financial needs.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Assist members with Certificates of Deposit (CDs), Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), and related transactions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of credit union products, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support fellow team members and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Professional, friendly demeanor
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Banking, credit union, retail banking, or financial services experience is preferred but not required
