The primary responsibility of this position is to help deepen customer relationships, attract additional customers, and provide an excellent customer service experience.

• Full-time hours from Monday - Friday, with potential Saturdays, with a rotating work schedule between Aberdeen and Conde.
• Responsible for retail product promotion. This will include helping to deepen account relationships with existing customers and soliciting prospects to the Bank.
• Understand the various products the Bank offers and able to explain the value of those products to customers.
• Responsible for maintaining existing and generating new deposit growth.
• Responsible for generating consumer loans with guidelines set by Bank policy and growth targets.
• Will interview and profile customer relationships to identify growth opportunities. Make product recommendations, cross-sell and refer customers and prospects to bank accounts.
• Authorize or recommend approval of consumer applications for lines or extensions of lines of credit and consumer loans within authority guidelines.
• Understand and comply with the related laws and compliance regulations that pertain. Examples include Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy, and Funds Availability Policy as well as the ability to interpret Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Assist walk-in customers with their new account needs, including checking, savings, certificates, and the like.
• Assist walk-in, online, and phone customers with problems or service issues related to their account(s). Address quality issues related to deposit accounts, including tracking and communicating issues to staff and their supervisors.
• Understand bank operational procedures related to retail delivery, including product functionality, account documentation, platform/operational issues, CIP procedures, and related tasks.
• As needed, support other Retail Banking positions during peak times. Perform paying and receiving functions for customers, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cashier’s checks, and related issues.
• Fulfill compliance requirements as directed by the Bank, including those of the Bank Secrecy Act and consumer compliance issues.
• Support other bank activities as part of the overall team of Bank employees.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 3+ years Retail Banking experience is highly recommended.
• Respond sensitively to customer needs and priorities; establish effective working relationships to gain respect and loyalty.
• Project a positive image of the Bank in interactions with internal and external customers.
• Ability to understand and apply product promotion techniques to open, develop and close sales; cross-promote other products and services.

• Knowledge of banking rules and regulations; excellent phone etiquette, verbal, and written communication skills.

• General PC knowledge and ability to navigate banking systems to assist customers.
