Roles & Responsibilities Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluation and treatment focused on meaningful ADLs and functional outcomes
Develop personalized treatment plans and measurable goals in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary team members
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve independence, mobility, and safety
Document progress, discharge planning, and billing-compliant notes in a timely manner
Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safe techniques
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment
Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist license in South Dakota or eligibility to obtain state licensure promptly
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTR/appropriate degree)
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills with reliable documentation
Comfortable working in an outpatient/long-term care/rehab setting (facility will confirm specific site)
Professional, reliable, and able to start quickly for a 13-week contract
Education Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD as applicable to licensure)
Knowledge & Skills Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and intervention
Knowledgeable in therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and splinting basics
Strong clinical reasoning and goal-setting abilities
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Competent documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
