Overview

Responsibilities involve assisting the Deputy Head/Functional Leads on the maintenance and support of DES applications.

• Defect Management: track system defects reported by users; perform analysis and troubleshooting to verify cause; provide interim/workaround solutions when necessary to minimize disruption; ensure prompt resolution of defects and assist users in Problem Report (PR) testing.
• Service Request (SR) Management: track and monitor SRs raised; assess and implement SRs according to operating procedures, e.g., data patching requested by users.
• Change Request (CR) Management: track and monitor CRs raised; conduct impact assessment; design and implement solutions; facilitate users in CR testing and provide training when necessary.
• Operations Support: monitor and execute scheduled events (e.g., monthly jobs, year-end activities, interface testing); support audit-related activities; respond to user inquiries about DES applications; provide on-site support when necessary; assist with system downtime and investigate/resolving functional, performance, and/or integration issues.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress reports on incidents, SRs, and CR status updates to the Deputy Head/Functional Leads.
• Ensure smooth operation of DES, including integration with other bolt-on applications and interfaces with internal/external systems to ensure uninterrupted support during normal office hours.
• Review and update relevant documentation (including ARIS diagrams/models) to reflect system changes. Examples include:
  Functional Design (FD) specification;
  Technical Design (TD) specification;
  Annex B – Page 16;
  Pre-requisite for SAP Senior Developer I, II and III.

9.1 Education Qualification

The candidate(s) should possess a Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering or IT or equivalent.

9.2 Required Competencies and Working Experience

• Minimum 8 years of SAP ABAP development experience, including at least 5 years in SAP FICO/PS/SD/HCM.
• Advanced programming knowledge in ABAP development, testing, and broad SAP knowledge.
• Knowledge of integration with other SAP ERP modules (as referenced in Annex B, Table
  1).
• Knowledge of ASAP methodology and toolsets.
• Ability to design, develop and articulate solutions based on business or technical requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage timelines and user expectations, and deliver high-quality documentation, presentations, and research.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
