TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a travel nursing position in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during, and after the delivery of a baby. They ensure medical and emotional needs are met throughout the birthing process, assist physicians with epidurals, pain medications, episiotomies, and cesarean preparations, and provide immediate newborn care.
Responsibilities- Stay with and monitor the patient throughout labor.
- Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
- Check cervix periodically to monitor progression or lack of dilation.
- Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after the birthing process.
- Aid the physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
- Provide immediate care of the newborn.
Minimum clinical experience: 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in Labor and Delivery.

- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
- 3 Years of acute care experience
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
